Hiatus/retirement

Because I have no time, energy or motivation left for this. I’m really sorry (to you who’ve been reading Team Bikkuri’s releases. You’re awesome). This semester in uni is looking really, really rough, so I feel like I have no choice but to move into the tower of textbooks I spent a fortune on the other day and not come out until summer.

That said, I don’t intend to completely disappear. If you spend any time over at BXSManga, we might still bump into each other :) I need to finish some Tora to Ookami translations. (BTW, Narumi is NOTHING compared to the evil, shallow plot device that is Beniko the Destroyer js. Ugh, I’m so sick of shoujo.) I just can’t deal with scanlating anymore, not the editing bit or the running-a-group bit or any of the bits, really, it all wears me out.

I’m sorry for doing this so out of the blue and thanks for everything until now! I’ve had fun.

Chapter 23 will probably take another month or so. Actually, always expect us to take around a month, because the only way to not die while trying to make Betsuma magazine scans look decent, is to go slow.

Anyway, DRAMA! I can’t even care right now, because exams are consuming my soul.

I don’t know if this is only said where I come from, but according to bullshit “science”, boys can only do one thing at a time, while girls can do any number of things simultaneously, like juggle while cooking while watching TV. If this is true, I think I’m a man.

I hope you will all call me Mr Bikkuri from now on.

(Belated) Aoharaido v03 extra + character profiles

Ahahaaa. So… this is a very late release of the Murao extra (v03 ch11.5). Sorry? XD Actually, I was planning on scanning it myself, but then… I… never… did. Finally yesterday I decided to just forget about doing scanning work myself because obviously, I am not going to EVER get around to it (scanning sux!!1! BOO111!). So I used the online scans (rawscans.com). Like, whatever. Here it is, anyway!

Oh, and I’m going to do the profiles I haven’t done soon (likeallofthemexcepttwo), I promise. And I’ll put them up here. And. Yeah.

Summer is almost over! Who’s had adventures?! I had lots. Like this one day at my summer job when there was nothing to do, my boss made me clean the walls. And I went to the movies one night, where I ran into an old classmate from high school (hadn’t seen her in 2 years). And she was there on a date. With one of our former teachers. (The one who kept trying to make me see a psychologist because he thought I “looked sad”. OH MY GOD I WAS IN SCHOOL I WAS LOOKING BORED.) So that was awkward, but hey. Teacher-student relationships actually happen. Murao, there’s hope for you yet!

OH AND I WATCHED ALL OF ONE PIECE WITH MY SISTER AND OMG THAT WAS EPIC.

Uhm. Hi.

Here is what I think.
(I must share.)

1. Touma is freaking perfect. Not saying he should get with Futaba or anything (they’d be good together, though), but he deserves all the awards.
2. Futaba is awesome. Except for her obsession with gender stereotypes.
3. Kou is… really… really… really bad at feelings. I wish he’d stop encouraging Futaba’s insecurities. I mean, obviously he’s being mean because he’s insecure himself (and jealous), but that doesn’t make it acceptable. /lolrage
4. At least the apology was adorable?
5. I’m pretty sure the laugh at the end was because Kou (as well as all the readers) are sensing a certain pattern. You know? Like whenever Kou and Futaba get close, SOMETHING ALWAYS HAPPENS. OH MY GOD. WHEN WILL IT END.

BTW, SUPER EARLY (Chinese) RAWS THIS MONTH (CH19). BUT I DON’T HAVE TIME TO LOOK AT THEM YET. WHYYY.

ALSO DANGIT CHINA, PLEASE SPEAK JAPANESE.

…Oh PS! Let me know if there is anything wrong with the download. I’ve been having trouble with my network card lately. This computer is really drawing its last, wheezing breaths… Definitely buying a new one after earning some money this summerrrr (why is it so much work to earn money, btw, I find that so hard to accept.)

…Hello! Here I am with the first team effort of Bikkuri! …Bikkuri Scanlations? Team Bikkuri…. Bikkuri & Iso & Aizi & Saoyouri & Litoxpinky & Carla & Aurora & Enim?

When I asked for help, I hoped for maybe 3 people. The amount who actually offered completely blew me away. Thank you for strengthening my faith in humanity! It’s pretty motivating as well, so hopefully this will have me sticking around until Aoharaido ends, despite my terrible attention span. And releases should definitely be much faster now.

In other news, new ‘About’ page and a new page about learning Japanese because I get mails about it sometimes. And Strobe Edge is licensed! I’m taking it down in a week, okay. Though I have opinions about this, but… well. Choosing to be as legal as possible. Hope those of you who can will support dear Sakisaka-sensei and buy a copy when it becomes available :)
